Our Process
- Each of our multilayer wooden lake maps is handcrafted with care, precision, and a deep respect for nature and detail. Here's how we bring each piece to life.
- We begin by gathering detailed depth data of the lake and combining it with topographic maps. This ensures that each map reflects the true underwater topography, creating an accurate and realistic depth display.
- Each contour layer is:
- Laser cut for exact detail
- Individually painted to emphasize depth variations
- Carefully glued to form a visually striking 3D effect
- The topmost layer is sealed with a UV-resistant varnish, protecting it from fading and preserving its vibrant look.
- Every map includes a custom-designed hanging slot on the back, making wall mounting simple, secure, and perfectly balanced.
- Before any map leaves our hands, it undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure top-notch quality and that it is free of defects.
Materials
- We are committed to using premium, natural materials that are both durable and beautiful.
- We use Baltic Birch plywood, prized for its strength, smooth finish, and natural aesthetic. It's the perfect base for detailed laser cutting and layering.
